Kids Support Set is perfect for your little one throughout the winter season!
With this rather special honey we have taken the liberty of adding extra bee pollen and propolis to produce a stronger taste as nature intended.
Like all our honeys, this one is made by busy bees working in the beautiful Hungarian countryside.
Recognised as an area of natural beauty, it is unspoilt by pollution and pesticides with stunning landscapes, crisscrossed with sparkling springs and gurgling rivers, dark, untamed forests and lush wild-flower and lavender meadows, all alive with the buzz of bees. Our certified organic flower honey is extracted from hives owned by small artisan beekeepers, who use traditional, sustainable methods, working in complete harmony with nature, before the magic ingredients of bee pollen and propolis are added.
What is bee pollen?
Bee pollen is a mixture of pollen, bee saliva, and nectar or honey of pollen. Bees carry these bee pollen balls in sacs on their legs back to the hive. It is collected with a thick comb in the entrance of the hive. When a bee passes through it, the pollen balls are dropped off their legs into the collection bin below. The bee then goes out to collect more pollen.
Although Bee pollen supplements are generally safe to consume, people with pollen or bee sting allergies, pregnant or lactating women and people taking blood thinners, such as warfarin, should avoid it.
What is propolis?
Worker bees combine their saliva with beeswax and sap to create a sticky, greenish-brown product that is called propolis. They use propolis as a coating to build their hives.
How to eat our honey with bee pollen and propolis
Perfect on toast, dissolved in tea or coffee. Even just a spoonful is enough to satisfy your sweet tooth!
This 100% natural fruit tea is the perfect choice for conscious parents for them to enjoy with their children. Made from real dried blackcurrants, black rowan and rosehip our Kids’ Immunity Tea is a delicious and healthy choice, containing no added sugar and no artificial flavourings, preservatives, or colourings.
Each 100g tea box contains 40-45 servings and thanks to the aroma-sealing packaging, the tea stays fresh for months once opened – although we don’t think it will be around long enough to put it to the test!
It’s the amazing natural ingredients that go into it that make it so good.
The key ingredients are:
The most intensely coloured and flavoured of all currants, blackcurrants are highly aromatic and have a delicious tart flavour.
This tiny red berry packs quite a punch. Their most common uses include sweet beverage concoctions, or are made into jams and jellies.
Rose hips are the round, seed-filled bulbs found underneath rose petals. Unlike rose blossoms, which bloom in the spring and summer months, rose hips generally grow after the petals have bloomed and started falling off, which is usually in early to mid-Autumn. In fact, they’re considered sweeter when picked after the first frost of the season.
Peppermint (Mentha × piperita) is an aromatic herb in the mint family. Native to Europe and Asia, it has been used for thousands of years for its pleasant, minty taste.
Hibiscus tea is made from a mixture of dried hibiscus flowers, leaves, and dark red calyces (the cup-shaped centres of the flowers). After the flower finishes blooming, the petals fall off and the calyces turn into pods. These hold the plant’s seeds. Calyces are often the main ingredients in herbal drinks containing hibiscus.
Elderflower is naturally sweet and adds just the right subtle floral flavour to appeal to children and adults.
Fennel adds a taste a little like liquorice, a relaxing scent and slightly bitter aftertaste.
Pour 250 ml of hot water over 1-2 teaspoon of our Kids’ Immunity Support Tea. Leave to brew for 10 minutes, strain and your tea is ready. Flavour to your liking and enjoy.
One jar contains 40-45 cups of tea.
We all want what's best for our children and this propolis throat spray is designed especially for them. Our Propolis spray for kids is made from pure premium Hungarian honey, propolis and purified water. Reassuringly it does not contain alcohol!
Propolis is another direct product of bees, like honey. Worker bees combine their saliva with beeswax and sap to create a sticky, greenish-brown product that they use as a disinfectant coating and sealant for their hives, and to protect their larvae from micro-organisms such as viruses, bacteria and fungi.
Like our honey, our propolis comes from bees that live in the pristine Hungarian countryside. Recognised as an area of natural beauty, it is unspoilt by pollution and pesticides with stunning landscapes, crisscrossed with sparkling springs and gurgling rivers, dark, untamed forests and lush wild-flower and lavender meadows, all alive with the buzz of bees.
Our certified organic honey and propolis are both extracted from hives owned by small artisan beekeepers, who use traditional, sustainable methods, working in complete harmony with nature.
How to use:
Our Propolis Spray for kids is easy to use; simply spray directly into the mouth 5-10 times a day. The mixture of propolis with sweet honey and purified water disguises the slightly bitter taste of the propolis, making it palatable to children.
Not suitable for children under 12 months old.
