Boosting Morning Time Set: Organic Honey and Ginger, Organic Propolis Extract High Potency and Zesty Morning Time Tea

This bundle features three of our most popular items: Organic Ginger Honey, Morning Time Tea and Propolis Extract High Potency drops. We think it is the best way to take tea in the morning time!

    Organic Honey and Ginger (400g)

What better way to combine the benefits of organic honey and classically warming root ginger? Like all our honeys, this one is made by busy bees working in the beautiful Hungarian countryside.

Recognised as an area of natural beauty, it is unspoilt by pollution and pesticides with stunning landscapes, crisscrossed with sparkling springs and gurgling rivers, dark, untamed forests and lush wild-flower and lavender meadows, all alive with the buzz of bees.

Our certified organic wild-flower honey is extracted from hives owned by small artisan beekeepers, who use traditional, sustainable methods, working in complete harmony with nature, before the magic ingredient, ginger is added.

    Ginger

Ginger has a very long history in traditional and alternative medicine. The magic ingredient appears to be gingerol, a natural oil that occurs in ginger and provides the herb with its unique fragrance and flavour.

How to eat our Organic Honey and Ginger

This natural premium creamed honey is fantastic on a slice of toast but try it drizzled over ice cream, added to cookies or into cake batter to introduce sweetness with a warming spiciness. It’s also a perfect addition to Asian cooking; try coating salmon with it before putting into foil or making a sauce for Asian pork and lime.

Organic Propolis Extract High Potency (30ml)

Honey Heaven's Propolis tincture is a high potency organic product contains 50% propolis. Propolis is another direct product of bees, like honey. Propolis or bee glue is a resinous mixture that honey bees produce by mixing saliva and beeswax with exudate gathered from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources.

It is used as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the hive. Worker bees combine their saliva with beeswax and sap to create a sticky, greenish-brown product that they use as a disinfectant coating and sealant for their hives, and to protect their larvae from micro-organisms such as viruses, bacteria and fungi.

    How to use

Our organic propolis extract comes in an easy-to-use liquid format. Propolis can also be used externally and topically. It tastes quite sweet, but has a slight anti-septic effect that numbs or de-sensitises your taste buds.

As part of your every-day regime, we recommend that you use the included dropper to administer 10-15 drops of propolis directly into your morning coffee, water, juice, oatmeal or a spoonful of our wonderful honey, and product will gradually be dispersed to benefit your entire body.

    Warning

A certain chemical in propolis might slow blood clotting. Taking propolis might increase the risk of bleeding in people with bleeding disorders or cause problems for anyone taking blood thinners such as warfarin. In these circumstances, it is advisable to check with a doctor before taking Propolis and to stop taking it two weeks before any surgery as the presence of propolis in the system might increase the risk of bleeding during and after surgery. Some propolis products might be contaminated with bee by-products. Use propolis with caution if you are allergic to bee by-products.

    Zesty Morning Time Tea (80g)

Give yourself the best start to your day with our Morning Time Tea. This zesty, zingy wake-up call is a delicious blend of rosehip, hibiscus and calendula.

Why drink our Morning Time Tea?

The three key ingredients each come with their own recommendation, supported by hundreds of years of use in traditional medicine, but together make an unbeatable combination.

    Rose Hips

Rose hips are the round, seed-filled bulbs found underneath rose petals. Unlike rose blossoms, which bloom in the spring and summer months, rose hips generally grow after the petals have bloomed and started falling off, which is usually in early to mid-Autumn. In fact, they’re considered sweeter when picked after the first frost of the season.

    Hibiscus

Hibiscus flowers come in many colours. They can be red, yellow, white, or peach-coloured, and can be as big as 6 inches wide.

Hibiscus tea is made from a mixture of dried hibiscus flowers, leaves, and dark red calyces (the cup-shaped centres of the flowers). After the flower finishes blooming, the petals fall off and the calyces turn into pods. These hold the plant’s seeds. Calyces are often the main ingredients in herbal drinks containing hibiscus.

    Calendula

Calendula, a flowering plant also known as pot marigold, can be served as a tea, or used as an ingredient in various herbal formulations.

While the tea is made by steeping the flowers in boiling water, the extract is derived from both the flowers and the leaves. Despite its slightly bitter taste, calendula tea is a traditional remedy used in folk medicine because of its ascribed therapeutic properties.

    Preparation:
If you simply can’t wait, it’s fine to add boiling water to the tea for instant consumption, however, to get the best out of our Morning Time Tea, you need to ensure all the vitamin C and other fruit acids have been completely dissolved. Therefore, we recommend soaking the tea in cold water for at least 12 hours and then reheat it to drink.

Use 1-2 teaspoons of tea mixture for one cup of tea.

    Storage:
Keep in the aroma sealing box in a dry, clean place at a temperature not exceeding 25 C.
